Semi-Automatic Defibrillation Review
(3 hours: Basic & Intermediate levels)
- Objectives:
- To ensure knowledge of and familiarty with SAED Protocols
- To identify areas for improvement in practice and documentation of SAED trips
- To improve SAED skills through practice with equipment in realistic code scenarios
- To learn and practice safe, effective CPR/Defib techniques under adverse conditions
- To learn troubleshooting techniques in case of equipment malfunction
- To test the application of knowledge acquired in this class
- Review MA Statewide SAED Protocol (15 minutes)
- Review previous SAED calls (25 minutes)
- Mock code scenarios (30 minutes)
- Practical on CPR/Defib (30 minutes)
- Troubleshooting scenarios (20 minutes)
- Written Quiz and review (20 minutes)
- Practical Skills Evaluation (40 minutes)
